Flight of the Bumblebee

$ 1,800.00 AUD
The intricate damascus pattern on this knife features a deep, polished etch that creates a captivating chatoyance effect as it catches the light. The knife has a clean, simple construction with a single forged piece for the bolster and blade, and a single-piece rosewood handle that has been designed for a proud fit to the bolster, commonly referred to as a museum fit. A design that allows for small adjustments due to factors like changes in humidity that could affect the fit between the handle and bolster over time. The balance point is halfway between the bolster and makers mark, giving the knife a slightly forward feel, perfect for a pinch grip. The edge measures 255mm, with a height of 63mm at the heel, making this gyuto a serious contender in the kitchen.
