A dark etch emphasises the contrast between the layers, while the convex workhorse grind and thicker-than-normal spine give this knife a decidedly blade-forward feel. Despite the heft, it remains thin behind the edge, giving it a weighty feel without sacrificing the slicey-slicey. At 287 grams, with the balance point sitting around the 100 mark, it has a confident, get-shit-done feel at the board.
