Chefs Edge
Built around a White Paper 1 (Shirogami #1) core, this WAYO features cladding made from alternating layers of copper and 1084 carbon steel. The blade has been ground with an aggressive hollow grind (“Agro-S”) and finished with a dark etch to emphasise the contrast between the copper and steel layers. The upper section of the blade has been left with a forged brut de forge finish, where remnants of the forged outer copper layers and carbon steel create a rich, raw texture. A machined copper bolster cap is fitted to a faceted Tiger Myrtle handle, oriented to follow the flow of the knife, with the pale sapwood forming the belly of the handle and the darker tiger stripes wrapping over the top and sides.
